Training in Computer Science at Cégep de Sept-Îles prepares to technical maintenance jobs, network management and systems design. Graduates enter the employment market with strong skills in technology, analytics, communication, and business. The students will have good knowledge of logics, mathematics, physics, and chemistry provided by the learning programmes of upper secondary school.

Students whose interest is to apply their skills and creativity in technology related fields can now pursue their career aspirations through exposure in various practical sessions as well as industrial attachments on technical issues. The field is a holistic nature of designing, building and developing software and hardware systems. Information Technology in Texas is concentrated in a variety of locations with Austin and San Antonio (home of Rackspace) leading the Data Management and Hosting sector, and Houston and East Texas providing the highest concentration of Computer Systems Design.

Within the sector, computer systems design services, which includes all types of outsourcing and consulting firms and a growing number of cyber security companies, dominates in terms of both firms and workers. Design at the core: Computer Systems Design & Services employs 69 percent of the state’s industry employment and is continually growing.
